• Prevent and investigate accidents or other anomalous events involving aircraft
• Study and propose prevention procedures aimed at avoiding aviation accidents
• Prepare accident and/or incident investigation reports concerning aircraft
• Analyze reports and other elements regarding aviation accidents and incidents
• Update the record of all accidents and incidents occurring in Macao's air space
• Collect and disseminate information regarding aviation safety

Note: The Accident Prevention and Investigation Group is headed by the President of the Civil Aviation Authority. It is mobilized only when necessary.
