Aviation Safety and Security Policy

For aviation security, we aim to achieve a standardized level of security to ensure that all personnel and properties are protected against any act of unlawful interference on the ground or in a flight.

We regularly review and make sure that the security programmes, the facilitation programmes and the contingency plans developed by the operators are compliant with both local and ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) standards.

We believe that a harmonized effort by the Authority and the industry can help to reduce the level of security risks hence creating a safe and sound environment for air travel. We therefore foster a good working relationship with our industry counterparts and interact closely with them to analyze any probable threats within the civil aviation industry and initiate proper actions to effectively counter the perceived level of threat when necessary.

Working hand in hand with the other countries or administrations, especially within the Asia and Pacific Regions, is viable for the sustainability of international air travel within the Regions. Through our active participation in the Cooperative Aviation Security Programme – Asia and Pacific Region, we strive to promote the proper implementation of measures and procedures in accordance with the ICAO standards and review, for application within the Regions, the best practices and metrics relevant to improving existing security systems.
