Prohibited Articles

Passengers shall not be allowed to take on person or cabin baggage the following types of articles:

1. Guns, firearms and other devices that discharge projectiles;
2. Stunning devices;
3. Objects with sharp points or sharp edges;
4. Workers’ tools;
5. Blunt instruments;
6. Explosives and incendiary substances and devices;
7. Other articles capable of being used to cause injury or threatening the safety of aircraft or article can be converted into offensive weapon;
8. Lighters and matches of all types;
9. Chemical/Biological attack items and substances.

In addition, passengers are prohibited to carry the following articles in hold baggage:

1. Blasting caps;
2. Detonator and fuses;
3. Mines, grenades and other explosive military stores;
4. Pyrotechnics, including fireworks;
5. Smoke-generating canisters or cartridges;
6. Dynamite, gunpowder and plastic explosives; and
7. Chemical/Biological attack items/substances.

Please ask the air operators (airlines) for details. It is advisable that passengers also read  Law No. 12/2024 - "Legal Regime for the Control of Weapons and Related Articles".
