61st Conference of Directors General of Civil Aviation Asia and Pacific Region   2026-09-18

The delegation of the Civil Aviation Authority of the Macao SAR (AACM) participated in the 61st Conference of Directors General of Civil Aviation, Asia and Pacific Regions organized by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), which was held in Kuala Lumpur, from 7 to 11 September 2026. The theme of the conference was “Smart Skies: Emerging Technologies for Safe, Secure, Sustainable and Efficient Aviation.” The Conference was attended by over 500 delegates from 35 Member States and international organizations.

President Pun Wa Kin was invited by the host to moderate the agenda item on “Air Navigation” and exchange views with participants on modernising air navigation services and strengthening regional collaboration on air traffic flow management, as well as discuss and formulate an action plan for the development of Minimum Implementation Pathways (MIPs) based on the International Civil Aviation Organization’s Global Air Navigation Plan (GANP). The AACM also submitted two information papers, sharing experience and achievements in implementing proactive aircraft-noise monitoring in newly developed urban areas and presenting the collaborative carbon-reduction initiatives undertaken at Macao International Airport.
