
The Civil Aviation Authority met the aviation operators this afternoon to instruct them to enhance the implementation of preventive measures for the Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia.
The Macau International Airport and the Outer Harbour Heliport are two important ports in Macao. Commencing the beginning of this January, the Civil Aviation Authority (AACM) has been in close contact with the two ports to coordinate with them on the implementation of the preventive measures for the Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia. In view of the fact that there are confirmed cases of the disease in Macao, AACM met the main aviation operators again this afternoon to inform them of the latest development of the disease and to understand the recent flight operations in both the airport and the heliport. AACM has instructed the operators to strictly follow the guidelines devised by the Health Bureau and pay focused attention on the protection of the staff in their workplaces.
The meeting was held at 4:30pm today at AACM’s office. The attendees were CAM-Macau International Airport Company Limited, Air Macau Company Limited, East Asia Airlines Limited, Menzies Macau Airport Services Ltd., SEMAC Security Company, China Eastern Airlines, Shanghai Airlines, AirAsia, EVA Air and Starlux.
