Reply to media enquiry about the opening of international routes   2020-08-04

In response to media enquiry about the opening of international routes, the Civil Aviation Authority provides information as follows:

In the air transport world. The opening of routes is entirely a market driven operation, which means commercial airlines will operate a route in accordance with the market demand. Although our present network does not include points in Europe and the USA, Macao actually connects to the most of the important cities in Asia. Passengers can therefore easily transit through these Asian points and go farther to their final destination.

Of course, the SAR Government will continue to adopt flexible policies to attract new comers to serve our aviation market. The airport concessionaire, CAM, is also making their endeavours through their marketing strategies to expand the network of Macao.
