What are the requirements of the carriage and use of power banks on aircraft?

To comply with the latest requirements announced by the International Civil Aviation Organization regarding the carriage and use of lithium battery power banks by air passengers, commencing 29 March 2026, each departing passenger can carry no more than two power banks in their carry-on baggage, and charging power banks during flights is strictly prohibited.

In addition, passengers must also comply with the specific requirements for the carriage of products with lithium batteries on aircraft. For details, please refer to the “Security Control Articles” on the AACM Official Website via https://www.aacm.gov.mo/.

Friendly reminder: airlines may impose additional restrictions on the carriage and use of power banks on aircraft based on safety considerations and operational measures. Therefore, passengers are advised to check with their airline for the latest requirements before traveling.
