FAQ

Q1. What articles are prohibited to be taken onto an aircraft cabin?

Passengers are not allowed to carry the prohibited articles into an aircraft cabin or aerodrome security restricted areas. Prohibited articles including:

   1. Liquids, aerosol and gels (LAGs) that are not carried according to requirements;
    2. Guns, firearms and other devices that discharge projectiles;   
    3. Stunning devices;
    4. Objects with sharp points or sharp edges; 
    5. Workers tools;
    6. Blunt instruments;
    7. Explosives and incendiary substances and devices;
    8. Other articles capable of being used to cause injury or threatening the safety of aircraft or article can be converted into offensive weapon;   
    9. Lighters and matches of all types;
   10.Chemical/Biological attack items and substances.

Q2. What articles are prohibited to carry in hold baggage onto an aircraft?

Passengers are prohibited to carry the following articles in hold baggage onto an aircraft:

1. Blasting caps;
2. Detonator and fuses;
3. Mines, grenades and other explosive military stores;
4. Pyrotechnics, including fireworks;
5. Smoke-generating canisters or cartridges;
6. Dynamite, gunpowder and plastic explosives; and
7. Chemical/Biological attack items/substances. 

Weapons and ammunition which are prohibited for possession according Macao Decree Law 77/99/M, are also prohibited to carry in hold baggage unless authorization granted.  Please ask the airline for details.

Q3. If a passenger possesses a weapon within territory of Macao or carry a weapon on board an aircraft, such as a firearm, whether such weapon requires prior permission and approval?
